Regionalisation - The future of Rotary is in our hands

District Governor Elect Christine Owen was our speaker this week andjoined by colleague Doug Vincent on the Rotary Zone 8 Regionalisation Project.

This is a project over the next 3 years which will look at ways to improve Rotary and make it more relevant to new & older Rotarians.

Some of changes might include:

- Give Rotary a unified one voice

- bring in a new heirarchy, potentially replacing the current district model.

- Reduce the duplication of administration costs across the districts.

- Longer Terms for officers, say 3-4 years to enable time to implement ideas.

- Bigger, more flexible project funding.

and much more.

Please watch the videos again that Christine Presented this week

and visit the website for more information

www.creatingtomorrowrotary.org

The project will only go ahead if 2/3's of clubs vote yes. Our club gets 1 vote, with the vote expected in mid September, we have a few more weeks to discuss.

Comedy for a Cause

Get ready to chuckle, chortle, and maybe even snort a little, because the comedy event of the year is about to land on the Central Coast! On the 1st of March, 2024, at 7pm, the Park View Room at the Central Coast Leagues Club will be echoing with laughter, all for a great cause. And who better to lead this laughter riot than the maestro of mirth, the sultan of satire, the one and only Peter Berner!
