Creating the space for learning

In a world that is rapidly advancing, education remains the cornerstone of sustainable development and prosperity. However, not all regions have equal access to the resources that can unlock the potential of young minds. This is where our project at Luciano B. Rama, Sr. Memorial National High School in Esperanza, Camotes Islands, Cebu, Philippines, steps in to bridge the gap.

We are on a mission to establish a two-room audio-visual and collaborative/social learning building, a first of its kind on Camotes Islands. A much needed resource as identified by the school community in their project report to the Rotary Club of Gosford City.

This initiative is not just a construction project, but a beacon of hope for high school students, teachers, and learners across the school district. In a collaborative endeavor, we have joined hands with the Rotary Club of Twin Cities, US D5020, and the Rotary Club of Metro Cebu - D3860, Philippines, to ensure the successful realisation of this project. We aim to complete this building in stages, ensuring every phase is executed to the highest standards. We are engaging local building contractors familiar the requirements of the district and government standards, injecting funds into the local economy.

A change that will impact generations of learners

Through this joint effort, we are not only bringing essential educational resources to the region but also fostering international cooperation and community engagement, which are crucial for the sustainable impact of our initiative.

The building structure, encompassing foundations, in-ground services, walls, roof, and lighting, is the first milestone. Following this, Phase 2 later in the second half of 2024 will see us enhancing the building with a fit-out, school furniture, audio-visual equipment, teacher resources, and training modules. Additionally, funding permitting we will add sustainability features for water and power are integrated to ensure long-term viability and minimal environmental impact.

Your generous donation can fuel this journey of transformation. It's not just about bricks and mortar; it's about creating an environment where curiosity is nurtured, and knowledge is shared. It's about providing the tools and space for both educators and students to interact, innovate, and inspire each other. Every contribution will bring us a step closer to creating a hub of learning and collaboration that can shape the future of countless individuals and, by extension, the community at large.

Together, let's invest in a brighter future, where education is the catalyst for change and growth. Your support can ignite the spark of learning and create a ripple effect of positive change across Camotes Islands, Cebu, and beyond.
